The Executive Officer will report on various matters addressed since the previous Commission meeting.
5.​ Commission Member Reports
An opportunity for members to disclose any meetings or conversations related to Commission business since the previous Commission meeting.
​6. Public Testimony​
Although no formal Commission action will be taken, the Commission offers an opportunity to the public to address the Commission on items of interest that are within the Commission's jurisdiction, but that do not specifically appear on the agenda.
​7. Update on Water Storage Investment Program (WSIP) and Commission Preparatory Briefing on Public Benefit Ratios and Appeal Process​
Commission staff will describe recent activities related to the WSIP, including an update on applications received and the completeness and eligibility review. In order to prepare the Commission for its WSIP-related decisions in 2018, staff will also brief the Commission on how project Public Benefit Ratios will be determined, the process for applicant appeals, and related Commission decisions.
​8. Overview of the Central Valley Project​
U.S. Bureau of Reclamation staff will brief the Commission on the Central Valley Project (CVP). The briefing will be an overview of the operations of the CVP and integration with the State Water Project.
​9. Panel on 21st Century Water Infrastructure​
​A panel of guest speakers will present and discuss recent studies on water infrastructure and operations. The studies describe possible outcomes of integrated operations of the State's water system and scenarios for reoperation of the State Water Project. Panelists will also discuss data quality and availability, and how the studies address climate change and system resiliency in the face of increasingly extreme weather conditions.
​10. Action Item: Commission Consideration of WSIP Site Visits and Applicant Presentations​
The Commission will consider whether they will visit project sites (consistent with the Commission's ex parte communications policy), or invite WSIP applicants to present their projects to the Commission at future public meetings.
