Meeting, including the brown bag seminar, will be webcast at www.deltacouncil.ca.gov. Webcast signal may be intermittent due to internet infrastructure at the meeting location.

Purpose:

The Delta Independent Science Board (Delta ISB) will consider approving the content of its water quality review on nutrients and chemical contaminants. In addition, the Delta ISB will discuss its review on the synthesis papers of the Delta Plan Ecosystem Amendment, and may take action by considering approval of the content of the review.

Outside of the usual business matters, the Delta ISB will co-host a brown bag seminar by Dr. Christopher Potter of CASA 2100 to help inform the Delta ISB’s review on the Delta Monitoring Enterprise. Dr. Potter will discuss remote sensing monitoring methods for detecting invasive weed coverage in Delta waterways and Bay marshlands. After the seminar, the Delta ISB will moderate a panel discussion with Dr. Potter and other invited guests on invasive weed monitoring in the Delta and applications of remote sensing.
