The Executive Officer will report on various matters addressed since the previous Commission meeting.

This is an opportunity for members to disclose any meetings or conversations related to Commission business since the previous Commission meeting.

7.Action Item: Consideration and Approval of 2017 State Water Project Review

Commission staff will present the final version of the Commission’s 2017 State Water Project Review (per Water Code §165) for Commission consideration and possible approval.

8.Water Storage Investment Program (WSIP): Information on Scoring and Commission Determination Processes

Commission staff will present an overview of the process used to generate the four component scores of the Return on Public Investment Score and the information for the nine Commission Determinations required by California Code of Regulations, Title 23, section 6011(c).

9.Water Storage Investment Program: Final Application Scores and 9 Commission Determinations

The Commission will consider the staff recommendations for the four component scores of the Return on Public Investment Score for each application and determine final scores. The Commission will then consider information presented by staff regarding the nine determinations required by California Code of Regulations, Title 23, section 6011(c). If the Commission finds the application meets the requirements to make determinations, the Commission may make the applicable determinations. Each project will be considered individually, as follows:

Commission staff presentation on recommended application scores and information related to the nine Commission Determinations;

Applicant presentation on application scoring and nine Commission Determinations;

Public comment on application scoring and nine Commission Determinations;

Commission deliberation and action to finalize application scores; and

Commission deliberation and action on nine Commission Determinations.

Public comments will be limited to 2 minutes per speaker. For those speakers who may have similar comments, they may cede their time to one speaker nominated to speak for the group. Speakers may combine their times, up to a maximum of 10 minutes (for 5 or more speakers).

The Commission may hold open its deliberations regarding an action on a specific project but close applicant and public comment on the item. The Commission may also make preliminary decisions on specific items or may defer all decisions until the final day. Any items left undecided will be revisited on the final day of the meeting, June 29. If no items are undecided at the end of June 28, the Commission will adjourn until its scheduled July meeting at the conclusion of item 14.

Please Note: Speakers representing combined commenters are requested to notify the Commission staff in advance of their intent. In the notice, please include the speaker’s name, the item number (i.e., 9A through 9H) which they will address, the organizations and/or individuals they will be representing, and the amount of time they intend to speak (maximum 10 minutes). Please notify Commission staff via email to cwc@water.ca.gov. Please send notices to the Commission office by 9:00 a.m. on June 26.

Agenda items may be heard in any order at the discretion of the Commission.

Written comments regarding specific items on this agenda will be provided to the Commissioners as part of their meeting packets if they are received by 9:00 a.m. on Monday, June 25. Staff will make every effort to provide comments received after this deadline electronically, but we cannot make any guarantees.
