The Board will consider approving one research proposal that was developed in response to the Board-approved Fiscal Year 2016-2017 Annual Research Plan.

17-2-2: Public Meeting to Consider the Portola PM2.5 State Implementation Plan

The Board will consider the Northern Sierra Air Quality Management District State Implementation Plan (SIP) for the City of Portola and surrounding areas of Plumas County that addresses the federal 12 μg/m3 annual PM2.5 standard.  The SIP demonstrates how the area will attain the standard by the 2021 statutory attainment date.  If approved the plan will be forwarded to the United States Environmental Protection Agency for inclusion in California’s SIP

 Report from the Office of the Ombudsman 2016

The Board will hear a report on the 2016 enhancements to the Air Resources Board's Ombudsman and Small Business program, including a plan for a more comprehensive engagement process for regulated small businesses.

17-2-5: Public Meeting to Hear a Report on the Proposed 2030 Target Scoping Plan

Spanish translation will be provided at the Board Meeting for this item, Item 17-2-5.

The Board will hear an overview of the Proposed 2030 Target Scoping Plan. The Proposed Plan recommends a suite of measures to reduce greenhouse emissions 40 percent below 1990 levels by 2030 and put the State on a trajectory to meet the 2050 goal. This will be the second of three Board hearings on this item.

Although no formal Board action may be taken, the Board is allowing an opportunity to interested members of the public to address the Board on items of interest that are within the Board’s jurisdiction, but that do not specifically appear on the agenda.  Each person will be allowed a maximum of three minutes to ensure that everyone has a chance to speak.
