Note: The Commission was scheduled to consider the Department’s Initial Review and Recommendation on the petition to delist the California Brown Pelican from the Endangered Species List. Pursuant to Section 2073.5(b) of the Fish and Game Code, the Department requested an extension of 30 days beyond the original 90 days to complete its evaluation of the petition. Based on the new timeline, consideration of petition, Department recommendation and public comments will be scheduled for the December 7, 2006, meeting in Santa Monica.
