The Delta Independent Science Board (Delta ISB) will co-host two brown bag seminars to help inform its review on the Delta Monitoring Enterprise. On January 4,
Dr. Steve Culberson of the Interagency Ecological Program (IEP) will provide a brief history and overview of IEP monitoring surveys and how they are coordinated to inform management. Following this seminar, the Delta ISB will moderate a panel discussion on the science-governance structure of IEP with Dr. Culberson and other invited guests.
On January 5, Ms. Karen Larsen of the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) will provide an update on current activities by the California Water Quality Monitoring Council to coordinate and improve water quality monitoring and assessment. After her seminar, the Delta ISB will moderate a panel discussion on water quality monitoring with Ms. Larsen and other invited guests.
"Coequal goals" means the two goals of providing a more reliable water supply for California and protecting, restoring, and enhancing the Delta ecosystem. The coequal goals shall be achieved in a manner that protects and enhances the unique cultural, recreational, natural resource, and agricultural values of the Delta as an evolving place.

11. Status of the Delta Monitoring Enterprise Review
∙Members of the public shall be provided an opportunity to address the Delta ISB on any agenda items except closed session items and those items for which the public has already been afforded such opportunity at an earlier meeting. In addition, comments during the Public Comment period shall be limited to matters within the Delta ISB’s jurisdiction and not on the agenda. Reasonable time limits may be established for public comments (Government Code Sections 11125.7).
