a.   California Water Action Plan Implementation Coordination and Progress

Janelle Beland, Undersecretary, California Natural Resources Agency, will provide an update on

CWAP implementation progress and financing efforts.

i.  Integrating Flood and Ecosystem Planning: Yolo Bypass Alignment

Kris Tjernell, Special Assistant on Water Policy, California Natural Resources Agency, will discuss

efforts to integrate multi-agency activities in the Yolo Bypass.

b.  Policy-Science Interface

Dr. Peter Goodwin, Lead Scientist, Delta Science Program, will lead the discussion on the Delta

Science Program’s Interim Science Action Agenda and will work with Committee members to identify

actions for immediate interagency engagement.

c.  Risk Reduction: Delta Levees

i.  Delta Levee Investment Strategy (DLIS)

Cindy Messer, Deputy Executive Officer, Delta Stewardship Council, will provide an overview of

the Delta Levee Investment Strategy, report on progress, and review opportunities for engagement.

ii.   Delta Levee Assessment District

Erik Vink, Executive Officer, Delta Protection Commission, will provide background and progress

to date with the Commission’s creation of a Levee Assessment District pursuant to the 2009 Delta

Reform Act.

a. Delta Plan Performance Measures

Keith Coolidge, Executive Manager for External Affairs, Delta Stewardship Council, will present how

progress on Delta Plan implementation will be measured and the role of implementing agencies in this
