b.Legislative Update (Action Item)
The Council will discuss current legislation that could affect the Council and/or implementation of the Delta Plan and may take action to express support or opposition, or seek to amend any of the bills listed in the monthly Legislative report.
c.San Francisco Estuary and Watershed Science Contract Approval (Action
The chief deputy executive officer requests authority to enter into a
"Coequal goals" means the two goals of providing a more reliable water supply for California and protecting, restoring,
and enhancing the Delta ecosystem. The coequal goals shall be achieved in a manner that protects and enhances the unique cultural,
recreational, natural resource, and agricultural values of the Delta as an evolving place.

d. Water Board Reimbursable Agreement Contract Amendment Approval
The chief deputy executive officer requests authority to increase the amount of a reimbursable contract from $510,000 to $1,015,882.82 and extend the contract to 2020.The agreement funds the Delta Science Program for independent science reviews, workshops, and advisors related to water management and water quality in the Delta. The contract exceeds the delegated authority granted to the executive officer.
8. Lead Scientist's Report (Information Item)
Lead Scientist Dr. John Callaway will report on recent Delta science activities.
9.Lessons on Drought: Synthesis Report on the Science and Management Actions in Response to Drought Relevant to the
Delta Region (Information Item)
The authors of the drought synthesis paper will present the final report. This effort was supported by the Council through the Delta Science Program.
10. Delta Levees Investment Strategy Implementation Update (Information
Item)
Council and California Department of Water Resources staff will provide an update on the implementation of the Delta Levees Investment Strategy Memorandum of Understanding.
12. Preparation for Next Council Meeting Discuss (a) expected agenda items;
(b) new work assignments for staff; (c) requests of other agencies;
(d)other requests from Council members; and (e) confirm next meeting date.
