13-6-5: | ![]() The Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) and the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) released the draft Bay Area Plan: Strategy for a Sustainable Region in March 2013. The Bay Area Plan includes the region’s Sustainable Communities Strategy (SCS) required by SB 375, the Sustainable Communities and Climate Protection Act of 2008. The draft SCS is designed to meet the greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets set by ARB for the State’s metropolitan planning organizations under SB 375. ARB staff will present an update to the Board on the ABAG and MTC draft SCS and staff’s review of the quantification of the greenhouse gas reductions in the draft SCS.
