b.Legislative Update (Action Item)
The Council will discuss current legislation that could affect the Council and/or implementation of the Delta Plan and may take action to express support or opposition, or seek to amend any of the bills listed in the monthly Legislative report.
d.Climate Change Vulnerability Assessment and Adaptation Strategy Contract
Approval (Action Item)
The Delta Reform Act specifies consideration of “the future impact of climate change and sea level rise” in restoration planning. To fulfill this requirement, the Executive Officer requests authority to enter into a contract for a Climate Change Vulnerability Assessment and Adaptation Strategy for the Delta and Suisun MarshMotion and
Vote .
"Coequal goals" means the two goals of providing a more reliable water supply for California and protecting, restoring,
and enhancing the Delta ecosystem. The coequal goals shall be achieved in a manner that protects and enhances the unique cultural,
recreational, natural resource, and agricultural values of the Delta as an evolving place.”

e.Delta Plan Amendments Contract Amendment Approval (Action Item)
The executive officer requests authority to amend the current contract with Stantec Consulting, Inc., by increasing the contract budget up to an additional $600,000 dollars to fund several tasks related to continued support related to recent amendments to the Delta Plan and the ongoing Motion and Vote .
8. Delta Plan
Staff will present an overview of the initial assessment along with the process and timeline for the next seven months.

9.Lead Scientist’s Report (Information Item)
Lead Scientist Dr. John Callaway will report on recent Delta science activities.

10. Data to
Staff, together with representatives from the Department of Water Resources (DWR), State Water Resources Control Board (Water Board), and California Department of Fish and Wildlife (DFW), will brief the Council on progress of implementing the requirements of Assembly Bill 1755, the Open and Transparent Water Data Act (AB 1755).

11. 2018 Water Year Outlook (Information Item)
A panel of water managers and experts will provide an overview of Water Year 2018 to date, current water supply conditions, and initial water delivery allocations.
12. Watermaster Quarterly Update (Information Item)
The Delta Watermaster will present his quarterly report focusing on the first rigorous scientific effort to compare and improve seven emerging methods for estimating crop water use in the Delta.
14.Preparation for Next Council Meeting – Discuss (a) expected agenda items;
(b) new work assignments for staff; (c) requests of other agencies;
(d)other requests from Council members; and (e) confirm next meeting date.
