THIS REVISED NOTICE CONTAINS UPDATED LOCATION INFORMATION, PER
DIRECTION FROM THE GOVERNOR’S EXECUTIVE ORDER N-29-20, AND
SUPERSEDES THE MEETING NOTICE POSTED ON MARCH 16, 2020.

In accordance with the Governor’s Executive Order N-25-20 issued on March 12, 2020,
and the Governor’s Executive Order N-29-20 issued on March 17, 2020, the
Delta Stewardship Council will continue to provide opportunities for remote participation by
Councilmembers, staff, and the public with prudent measures to reduce community transmission of COVID-19.


The meeting’s proceedings will be conducted entirely remotely. There will not
be a public access location. Members of the public may observe the meeting via the webcast
outlined below and may email comments during discussion of individual agenda items
to: engage@deltacouncil.ca.gov, so that Councilmembers can address those comments
during the appropriate agenda items. The public can also provide comments
telephonically by calling 888-251-2909, access code 4455553, during the appropriate agenda item.

Delta Stewardship Council, Sacramento County Superior Ct. No. 34-2018-80002898; and (c) Takahashi v. Delta Stewardship Council, Sacramento County Superior Ct. No. 34-2018-00232084.

   a) Delta Plan Interagency Implementation Committee Update
  7. Executive Officer’s Report
   The Executive Officer will provide an update on the Council’s activities and provide the Council with the Outreach Highlights Report and Active Projects List.

   b) Legislative Update (Action Item)
The Council will discuss current legislation that could affect the Council and/or implementation of the Delta Plan and may take action to express support, opposition, or seek to amend any of the bills listed in the monthly legislative report.
   c) Consideration of a Contract with the United States Geological Survey to Fund Operation Baseline 2.0 Investigations (Action Item)
The Council will consider approval of a contract with the United States Geological Survey to fund two science investigations related to the Sacramento Regional County Sanitation District wastewater treatment plant upgrades. The total amount of the contract is $943,645.

   d) Amendment of a Contract with the University of California, Davis for Acoustic Telemetry (Action Item)
The Council will consider approval of an amendment to an existing contract with the University of California, Davis to allow for the hiring of a post-doctorate from the University of Maryland.

   e) Amendment of a Contract with the University of California, Davis for Chinook Salmon Re-introduction Investigations (Action Item)
The Council will consider approval of an amendment to an existing contract with the University of California, Davis to increase funding to continue research that informs best practices for Chinook Salmon re-introduction to the San Joaquin River. The amendment would increase the contract by $140,277, for a total of $1,890,277.

  8. Lead Scientist’s Report (Information Item)
Dr. John Callaway will report on recent advances in Delta science and research.
  9. Delta Levees Investment Strategy Regulation Update (Action Item)
Council Staff will discuss new Delta levee information that the Council needs to evaluate and has the potential to change the prioritization of Delta levees and tracts in the Delta Levees Investment Strategy (DLIS). The Council will also consider a resolution that outlines California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) exemptions, preparation of a notice to formally withdraw from the rulemaking process for DLIS, amend the current version of Delta Plan Chapter 7, and direct Council staff to evaluate the new information available to determine if further modifications are needed.

  10. Amendment of a Contract with Stantec Consulting Services, Inc. for Support for the Ecosystem Amendment to the Delta Plan and Delta Levees Investment Strategy (Action Item)
The Council will consider approval of an amendment to an existing contract with Stantec Consulting Services, Inc. to change the scope of work and increase the funding amount. The amendment covers additional support for the Ecosystem Amendment to the Delta Plan, Delta Levees Investment Strategy, and project management. The amendment would increase the total amount of the contract by up to $960,000, for a total of $6,010,000.
