Public Participation: Members of the public are invited to attend the meeting in person or may view and listen to the meeting via simultaneous webcasting on the Internet. Public Comment for October 20-23: The public will be invited to provide comments on developing a preferred MPA proposal for the MLPA South Coast Study Region during Agenda Item R on Wednesday, October 21, 2009; it is expected that public comment on this agenda item will begin at approximately 1:30 p.m. and conclude by 4:30 p.m. In addition, general public comment will be taken on any subject related to the work of the MLPA Blue Ribbon Task Force (BRTF) at approximately 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 and will end no later than 10:00 p.m.
Speaker cards are requested and may be found at the entrance to the room. Time allotted for public comment is determined by the number of requests; submitting written comments that can be easily summarized is encouraged. Note that the public comment period is for comments specific to the BRTF. For additional details about providing public comment, please refer to the MLPA Guidelines for Public Comment.
Public Comment for November 10: Additional written comments will be accepted by the task force through the day of the meeting. Written comments received by 12:00 noon on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 will be distributed to the task force in advance of the meeting. All comments submitted after 12:00 noon on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 will be distributed to task force members on the day of the meeting. The task force will meet jointly with members of the MLPA South Coast Regional Stakeholder Group (SCRSG), so it is recommended that, in addition to submitting written comments, members of the public work through members of the SCRSG to provide additional input.
