General Waste Discharge Requirements for Discharges to Surface Waters Resulting from De Minimis Discharges, Groundwater Dewatering Operations and/or Groundwater Cleanup/Remediation Operations at Sites Within the Newport Bay Watershed NPDES Number CAG918002 - Issuance of updated general waste discharge requirements (WDRs) for discharges to surface waters in the Newport Bay Watershed from (1) discharges that pose an insignificant (de minimis) threat to water quality, and (2) groundwater dewatering and/or groundwater cleanup operations. This Order incorporates selenium effluent limits based on selenium TMDLs adopted by the Santa Ana Water Board and approved by U.S. EPA on June 20, 2019 and replaces Order R8-2007-0041 (as amended) and Order R8-2005-0079. Proposed Newport Bay Fecal Coliform Time Schedule Order - Proposed Time Schedule Order (TSO) R8-2019-0050 for the County of Orange, and the Cities of Tustin, Irvine, Laguna Hills, Costa Mesa, Santa Ana, Orange, Lake Forest, Laguna Woods, Newport Beach, and Orange County Flood Control District to comply with the Requirements Prescribed in Order R8-2009-0030 as amended by Order R8-2010-0062 (NPDES CAS618030) - Issuance of the Time Schedule Order is proposed to extend the schedule for compliance with fecal coliform effluent limitations for discharges to the Newport Bay watershed. Workshop for the Permit Renewal for the Poseidon Resources' Proposed Huntington Beach Desalination Facility - The Regional Board staff will conduct a workshop for the renewal of the NPDES permit for Poseidon Resources' proposed Huntington Beach Desalination Facility (Facility). The proposed Facility will be located on twelve acres of the AES Huntington Beach Generating Station Property, 21739 Newland Street, Huntington Beach. Along with the NPDES permit renewal, the Facility requires a California Water Code section 13142.5(b) determination in accordance with the State's Ocean Plan. The workshop will review the proposed Facility, the draft renewal of the NPDES permit, and the associated draft Water Code section 13142.5(b) determination.
