MEETING NOTICE
Meeting of the Delta Stewardship Council

In accordance with the Governor's Executive Order N-25-20 issued on March 12, 2020, and the Governor's Executive Order N-29-20 issued on March 17, 2020, the Delta Stewardship Council will continue to provide opportunities for remote participation by Councilmembers, staff, and the public with prudent measures to reduce community transmission of COVID-19. The meeting's proceedings will be conducted entirely remotely. There will not be a public access location. Members of the public may observe the meeting via webcast or by joining the meeting directly via Zoom.

1. WELCOME AND INTRODUCTIONS
2. ROLL CALL – ESTABLISH A QUORUM (WATER CODE §85210.5)
3. CONSENT CALENDAR (ACTION ITEM)
Items for the consent calendar are expected to be routine and noncontroversial. The Council will be asked to approve items on the consent calendar at one time without discussion. If any councilmember, staff, or interested person requests that an item be removed from the consent calendar, it will be removed. Removed items may be taken up either immediately after the consent agenda or placed later in the agenda at the discretion of the Chair.
    A) ADOPTION OF OCTOBER 22, 2020 MEETING SUMMARY
    B) AMENDMENT TO AN AGREEMENT WITH AECOM FOR THE DELTA ADAPTS CLIMATE CHANGE VULNERABILITY ASSESSMENT AND ADAPTATION STRATEGY
The Council will consider approval of an amendment to a contract with AECOM to prepare the Delta Adapts climate change vulnerability assessment and adaptation strategy. The amendment would extend the contract by one year from June 30, 2018, to June 30, 2022. There is no change to the existing contract amount.

The Executive Officer will provide an update on the Council's activities and provide the Council with the Outreach Highlights Report and Active Projects List.
    A) LEGAL UPDATE
6. KEY DRAFT FINDINGS FROM THE DELTA ADAPTS VULNERABILITY ASSESSMENT (INFORMATION ITEM)
The Council will receive an update on Delta Adapts: Creating a Climate Resilient Future, the Council’s initiative to develop a climate change vulnerability assessment and adaptation strategy for the Delta. The Council will receive an overvie
w of key initial findings from the vulnerability assessment.
7. DELTA LEVEES INVESTMENT STRATEGY UPDATE (INFORMATION ITEM)
Council staff and Delta Levees Investment Strategy (DLIS) Memorandum of Understanding Workgroup (Workgroup) members will provide an informational update on DLIS, including the DLIS Decision Support Tool. Workshop members will also detail activities to engage stakeholders, reduce risk from climate change, and secure sustainable funding.
8. LEAD SCIENTIST’S REPORT (INFORMATION ITEM)
Delta Lead Scientist Dr. Laurel Larsen will provide an update on Delta Science Program activities. The Delta Lead Scientist provides the Council with unbiased advice on matters of scientific importance in the Delta. The monthly report provides an opportunity to discuss relevant advances in science impacting the Delta and highlight Delta Science Program activities’ relevance and impact.

Should the Council complete its full agenda for a meeting day before the scheduled adjournment time, and no member of the public wishes to provide further testimony, the Council meeting will adjourn early. Correspondence received by regular mail or email before 12:00 PM the day before a Council meeting will be distributed to members in advance of the meeting. Correspondence received after 12:00 PM will be distributed to the members at the start of the meeting or when received.
