Purpose On June 8, the Delta Independent Science Board (Delta ISB) will receive an update from the California Department of Water Resources (DWR) on the Delta Conveyance Project. Afterward, the Delta ISB will discuss its preparation and work plan for its future review of the Environmental Impact Report and Environmental Impact Statement for the Delta Conveyance Project when these documents are released. This will include a brief presentation on the Delta Plan best available science framework, a discussion of the approach to the Delta ISB’s review, chapter assignments, and any questions or feedback received on what the Delta ISB should consider in its review. On June 9, the Delta ISB will meet to discuss potential revisions to its operating guidelines, electing a new Chair-elect, outreach and communication of its completed reviews, and future reviews. Based on the discussion, the Delta ISB may take action to elect a new Chair-elect from its existing membership. This Purpose section describes the highlights. For more information about the meeting, refer to the agenda below. The meeting will continue on June 10 with a Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta tour.
