Meeting Materials

(Delta ISB’s) meetings web page at https://deltacouncil.ca.gov/deltaisb/meetings.
Members of the public are encouraged to visit the events web page to view the meeting materials.
Purpose
The Delta ISB will meet regarding its current reviews and efforts. This will include a presentation from the California Department of Water Resources (DWR) on the models used to assess environmental impacts of the Delta Conveyance Project. Afterward, the Delta ISB will discuss its preparation and work plan for its future review of the Environmental Impact Report and Environmental Impact Statement for the Delta Conveyance Project when these documents are released. This will include a discussion on the review template, chapter assignments, and the Delta ISB’s approach to the review.

In addition, Delta ISB will meet to discuss potential revisions to its operating guidelines. Based on the discussion, the Delta ISB may take action to amend its operating guidelines.

Presentation: Delta Conveyance Project Update

Carrie Buckman and Amardeep Singh of DWR will present on the models used to assess environmental impacts of the Delta Conveyance Project. This will include how climate change and uncertainty are being represented in the models. This presentation is intended to help inform the Delta ISB’s future review of the Environmental Impact Report, as indicated in the Delta ISB’s April 17, 2020, comment letter on the Notice of Preparation for Delta Conveyance Project.

Discussion and Potential Action: Revisions to the Operating Guidelines (Action Item)

The Delta ISB last revised its operating guidelines in June 2020. At this meeting, the Delta ISB will discuss its operating guidelines and potential revisions. Based on the discussion, the Delta ISB may take action to amend its operating guidelines. These operating guidelines may be amended based upon a two-thirds (â…”) majority of Delta ISB members.

The Delta ISB has completed its non-native species reviewmonitoring enterprise review, and water supply reliability estimation review. The Delta ISB will discuss next steps and outreach efforts for these reviews.
